i am sad to say that i am an idiot … i had the dwarf puffer fry in a bowl and i had a 5 gallon tank cycled and ready for the fry … but i had not plugged in the heater so i decided to put the fry in a net hanging in the main tank while the 5 gallon tank heated up … my thought process being that hanging them in a net in the water and temperature they are used to would be okay for one night while i heated up the other tank … i put some java moss in the net for them to hang on to … well when i got up in the morning i went straight to the fry and they were all gone :o( it seems that the mesh of the net, the holes were big enough to let the fry out :o( i was sooooooooooooooo bummed out … this weekend i am going to do another power vacuum to see if i can find some more … the fish were still spawning last night so i am hopeful :o)
